Kathryn "Kathy" Ruth Sagen, 60, of Winona died Monday, December 31, 2018 at her home of natural causes. She was born March 8, 1958 to John "Jack" and Kathryn "Kassy" (Witt) Sagen in Winona. Growing up one of four children, Kathy was shy and quiet but had a big heart and was always caring for others. She graduated from Cotter High School in 1977. After school she began working at Winona State University in facilities management. She worked there for many years until retiring in 2013. In her free time, she loved to care for her family, animals, and anyone who may have needed it. One of her dear loves though, was watching the Minnesota Vikings as well as many other sports. Kathy had a great sense of humor and was truly a good person.
Kathy is survived by her mother, Kassy; sisters, Mary (Wayne) Frahm, Ann Lee; brother, John (Susan) Sagen; nieces and nephews, Matt, Jana, Joe, Jeff, Jake, Lindsey, Shannon, Ashley; 10 great-nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Jack; brother-in-law, Tom Lee; sister-in-law, Lori Sagen.
A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, January 5, 2019 with visitation starting at 10 a.m. at Hoff Celebration of Life Center, Goodview. Rev. Robert Stamschror is presiding.
