Kathryn Helen Leisen

ST. CHARLES, MN. Kathryn Helen Leisen, 75 died Saturday, February 19, 2005 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, MN. Kathryn was born April 18, 1929 in Winona, MN to Harry and Christine (Fix) Spitzer. She attended country school in rural St. Charles. She married Joseph Leisen on February 14, 1953 at the St. Charles Catholic Church. The couple farmed in rural St. Charles. She was a home maker and helped on the farm for many years. She enjoyed bowling, country music, the Minnesota Vikings and Twins, playing cards, especially 500; and taking trips to the casino. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and its Women's Circle; and St. Charles Women's Legion Auxiliary. Kathryn is survived by her husband Joe, one daughter; Terry Leisen, Kasson, MN; and four sons; Jim (Sandy) Leisen, St. Charles, MN, Paul (Leah) Leisen, Kasson, MN, Dan (Sue) Leisen, Rochester, MN, Don Leisen, Rochester, MN. She is also survived by her mother Mrs. Christine Spitzer, St. Charles. Kathryn is survived by twelve grandchildren, and four great grandchildren, one brother Paul (Arlene) Spitzer, Rochester, MN and two sisters Shirley (Joe) Heim, St. Charles, MN and Bonnie (Mike) Kemple, California. She was preceded in death by her father, two brothers William and Richard (Dick), one infant sister Evelyn and one infant son. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Rev. James Callahan will officiate. There will be a visitation from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2005 with a Rosary at 5:15 p.m. and a Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m. at Hoff Funeral Homes ? St. Charles Chapel; friends may also call from 9:30 ? 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Charles Chapel. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in St. Charles, MN.
