Kathleen "Kathy" Jean Johnson, 74, of Winona, passed away peacefully with family by her side Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Sauer Health Care. She was born on January 28, 1944 in Stillwater to John and Eltha (Schmidtknecht) Johnson. She retired from Winona Knitting Mills. Kathy was married to Willie Schewe on July 20, 1968 and together they had 4 children. They later divorced. Kathy enjoyed crafting, flower gardening, slot machines, and BINGO, but she especially loved visits from her family.
Survivors include her son, Tom (Tara) Schewe of Winona; three daughters, Tracy (Scott R. Rinn) Stamer of Bass Camp, Chris (Tom) Fenske of Wabasha, and Annie (Zach) Chick of Lewiston; seven grandchildren, Brandon Schewe, Tammy Van Allen, Ryan Stamer, Zachary Stamer, Nick Fenske, Cody Plutshack, and Emily Chick; four great-grandchildren, Daisy, James, Cooper and Cameron; three brothers, Jack Johnson of Tomah, WI, Frank Johnson of Moundsview, MN, and Tom Johnson of Spanaway, WA.
She was preceded in death by her parents and Willie Schewe.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center, with visitation starting at 12 p.m. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Centerville, WI. Hoff Celebration of Life Center, Goodview, is assisting the family with arrangements.
