Kathleen Halek

Kathleen Ann Halek, 67, of Winona, died Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Gundersen Health Center, La Crosse. Kathleen was born, March 17, 1951 to Wesley and Vera Kasten in Spring Valley, MN. She graduated from Spring Valley High School before moving to Winona in her early 20's. She had one daughter, Jessica. She married Steven Halek of Winona. Kathleen enjoyed playing 500 and had an undeniable love for animals.
She is survived by her husband Steven; daughter Jessica (Israel) Adams; siblings Karon (Ralph) Bonnerudd and Jerry (Gloria) Kasten; sister-in-laws Maureen and Ilene Kasten; dogs Pilot, Brewster and Sonny; granddogs Baxter and Bosco. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Leonard and George. In memory of Kathleen, please support your local Humane Society.
A celebration of Kathleen's life will be held from 4-6 p.m., with a brief service at 6 p.m., Friday, September 21 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center, Goodview.
