ROLLINGSTONEKathleen "Kricket" Emma (Jung) Krick, 92, of Rollingstone, MN, died Mon. May 26, 2014 at her home in Rollingstone.Kathleen was born Sept. 23, 1921 in Valier, MT to Alois and Catherine Jung. She was raised in Rollingstone where she attended and graduated from Holy Trinity School. Kathleen married Frances M. Krick and raised three daughters, Karen, Pam, and Cindy.Kathleen was a lifetime member of Holy Trinity Parish and Catholic Aid Association. She enjoyed taking part in Rollingstone Senior Dining and Bonnie Rae's morning coffee club. Kathleen had a lifelong love of flying, encouraged by her father, which she continued throughout her life. She held a private pilot's license for many years and still enjoyed sharing her flight logbook. Her flying instructor and childhood hero was Max Conrad of Winona. Her passion for flying was also matched by her love of motorcycles, which she rode and owned proudly. In celebration of her 90th birthday, Kathleen cruised around Rollingstone on a Harley and took a ride in a Piper Cub airplane. Kathleen was a devoted and hard-working person. Her jobs included working at McDonnell Douglas Aerospace Company in Minneapolis, servicing military aircraft during WWII; for many years she worked at Speltz Chick Hatchery in Rollingstone, Hubbard Turkey Plant in Altra, and finally working at Winona County Home Health, before retiring. In her later years, she enjoyed eating out, playing cards, tying quilts, bird watching, and caring for her many flowers. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother and loved to spend time with friends. She had a positive attitude and witty sense of humor that will be never forgotten. Her positive outlook on life will be missed, especially by her family. Kathleen is survived by her brother, Paul Jung of Wayzata MN; daughters, Karen (Walter) Meyer, Pam (Richard) Wood, and Cindy (John) Putzier; grandchildren, Scott (Angie Wright) Meyer, Nicole (Scott) May, Michelle (Eric) LeBlanc, Kathryn (Wally Stanley) Meyer, Jeff (Chelsea) Wood, Shawn (Emilee) Wood, John Putzier, Becky (Jay) Todd, and Ellie Putzier; great-grandchildren Maria, Keely, Kaitlin, Kaya, Ali, and Ryan.She is preceded death by her parents; twin brother, Alois; and son-in-law, John.Services for Kathleen will be held 11 a.m., Saturday May 31, 2014 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Rollingstone, MN with the Reverend William Kulas. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Friday, May 30, 2014 and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery.
