Katherine "KC" Saxon, 56, died peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at her home in Winona after battling health issues. She was born March 13, 1955 in Riverside, California to John Peloquin and Elaine (Engstrom) Sexton. KC graduated from Rubidoux High School in Riverside, CA in 1973. Always willing to help others, she will be remembered for her caring and generous nature. For the last 17 years, KC has worked with the sales and advertising department at the Winona Post. She was devoted to her work and treated her customers as if they were family. Regardless of her ailing health, KC was always in a positive mood and rarely complained. The self-proclaimed "Grandma Moses of Photography," KC loved taking pictures. In her spare time, she also enjoyed gardening and chatting with friends and family. She was very devoted to God and prayed for everything. The family would like to thank Pastor Jeske for his love and care over the past several years. After the flood in 2007, she worked with the Winona Post and SEMAR to create books. KC was also an integral part in developing a horse trail in Rushford. KC is survived by her daughters, Kirie (fiancé Jason Sarazine) Phillips-Saxon of Owatonna and Krisha Saxon of St. Paul; grandson, Zander Saxon Gralish of St. Paul; her Georgia family, Carolyn, Desi, Heather, and Renee; "sister" and best friend in the whole world, Stephanie Schauland of Fountain City; and Bruce, her loving and loyal Yorkie. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bob, Gary, Jack, and David; sisters, Patty and Jane. KC was loved by many and will be missed by all.A visitation will be held on Friday, April 29, 2011 from 4-8pm at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Winona and one hour prior to the service at St. Martin's Lutheran Church. Memorial services will be at 1pm, Saturday, April 30, 2011 at St. Martin's Lutheran Church in Winona with Reverend Richard Moore and Reverend Harold Hintzman co-officiating.
