After moving to Trempealeau 17 years ago, they joined Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church and remained active in the choir and many groups within the church. They had two children, Clayton and Jennifer. She taught them her core values of faith, love, and service. Julie was very talented at crocheting and made many different blankets and other things she would give to nursing homes and her church.
