Judith "Judy" Rae Jorgensen, 66 of Minneiska, died unexpectedly Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay, WI.Judy was born April 9, 1949 in La Crosse to Burton and Verla (Yttri) Syverson. She graduated from De Soto High School in 1967 and went on to attend Luther College in Decorah, IA. While attending the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, she met the love of her life and best friend, Lars Jorgensen. They were married on April 6, 1974 in De Soto, WI. Judy and Lars moved to Milwaukee, WI where she attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and graduated with a degree in Occupational Therapy. They stayed in Milwaukee for many years before moving to Yuma, AZ and eventually to Minneiska, MN to live with a view of the river. Judy was currently working at Winona Health as an Inpatient Occupational Therapist and part-time at St. Anne Extended Healthcare. She attended Central Lutheran Church. Judy enjoyed gardening, riding on her pontoon boat (a.k.a. Toon Time), watching the Green Bay Packers and Badger basketball, and most importantly, spending time with her family - pets included.Judy is survived by her husband, Lars; two children, Leif (Rebecca) Jorgensen of London, England and Annika (Jeff) Pittman of Denver, CO; two grandchildren, Thomas Jorgensen and Freya Pittman; one and only favorite sister, Renae (Michael) Wagner of Menomonie, WI; nephew, Luke Wagner and niece, Stacy Wagner.She was preceded in death by her parents and niece, Erika Wagner.Memorial service will be 3 p.m., Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Goodview with Pastor Greg Spencer officiating. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
