Judith H. Gudmundson, 95, of rural Rushford, MN, died Saturday, September 2, 2006 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. Judith was born on January 14, 1911 in rural Rushford, MN to Gust and Amanda Olson. She graduated from Rushford High School in 1929 and attended Winona Business College upon graduation. On September 12, 1934, she married Harold Gudmundson at the Highland Prairie Parsonage, in rural Rushford, MN. Together they farmed and raised their two children. Harold passed away in 1986. She lived out on their farm up until a few weeks ago. Judith enjoyed crocheting, made many quilts and afghans, and made several pictures with seeds and kernels of corn. She also loved cooking and baking.She is survived by her two children; Marilyn Schiebsted of Stewartville, MN and Curtis Gudmundson of Peterson, MN, five grandchildren; Rodney Schiebsted, Dale Schiebsted, Michael (Kristine) Gudmundson, Tammy (Jeff) Brown, and Tricia (Jason) Thibault, five great grandchildren; Morgan and Connor Schiebsted, Ian and Josie Brown, and Kylie Gudmundson.Judith is preceded in death by her husband Harold, her parents, and sister Oveida.The funeral service for Judith will be held at Highland Prairie Lutheran Church in rural Rushford, MN on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Wade Davick officiating. Burial will be at Highland Prairie Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the church.
