Joyce Isabelle (Tarras) Bell, 90, of Winona died Saturday, July 25, 2009, at St. Anne's of Winona. She was a native of her "beloved little Winona" born April 14, 1919, to Otto and Belle (Burns) Tarras. On September 11, 1937, she married Richard Bell, also of Winona. They had one child, Richard William Bell Jr. They were later divorced. During her life time she was employed at Winona Knitting Mills, Garden Gate Restaurant, Ford Hopkins Drug Store, Dianna Shop, in-home care for the elderly, Winona Eye and Vision and Joyce was a Shaklee distributor. Joyce loved the Bible and she found joy in her worship through the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She found comfort in the companionship of her cats, Gorgeous George and Red Top Lady. Joyce's motto was "Feed a cat, gain a friend." Joyce is survived by her son, Richard of Florida; brother, Wallace of California; and good friend, Sharon of Winona. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, William and Arthur, sisters, Marjorie Newman and Alice Weaver, and her daughter-in-law, Edna Mae.A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 5th, at 5:30pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (161 Whitten St.) with speaker Steven Flint officiating.
