Josephine "Jo" M. Jackson, 85, of Winona, MN, died Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at Sauer Memorial Home in Winona, MN. Josephine was born on May 18, 1922 in Atlantic City, NJ to Joseph and Jenni (Shariff) Robbins. On July 3, 1945, Josephine married Isaac "Ike" Jackson. He passed away on May 2, 2006. Josephine was a lifelong homemaker who was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a den mother for her son's scout troop, enjoyed garage sales, gambling, dancing, and camping with her family. Josephine and Isaac wintered in Arizona for 20 years, where she learned to belly dance and enjoyed going to flea markets. She was a member of Living Light Church in Winona. Survivors include her daughter IdellAnn Larson of Winona; son Jay (Katheryn) Jackson of Minneapolis, MN; 4 granddaughters, Eleanore Jackson of Los Angeles, CA, Sarah Jackson of Yokahma, Japan, Heather (Dion) Holmes of Winona, and Holly (Fuad) Al-Abad of Minnesota City, MN; and six great-grandchildren, Ali, Isaac, and Yousef Al-Abad and Tyrah, Mariah, and Tatiana Holmes. Josephine is preceded in death by her parents, husband Isaac, 11 siblings, and her adopted dog, Snuggles. The Memorial Service for Jo will be at 5:00pm on Saturday, February 16 at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Services - Hansen Goodview Chapel in Goodview, MN with the Reverend Sonny Misar officiating. Friends may call from 4-5pm on Saturday at Hoff Funeral Home with a reception following the service at the Funeral Home.
