Joseph Hennessy

Joseph "Joe" Hennessy, 58 of Newport, New Hampshire and formerly of Lewiston, MN died Tuesday, March 16, 2021.
Joe was born November 20, 1962 in Winona to Bernard and Rose (Monahan) Hennessy. He graduated from Lewiston High School. Joe was one of a kind, he had a contagious laugh and always twinkling Irish eyes. He lived life to the edge and back many times, always a free spirit. In his early years, Joe traveled the United States, riding the trains and exploring the country. He moved to New Hampshire over 30 years ago. While living there, he worked construction and building maintenance and shared his love of playing guitar and music with his nieces. During the pandemic, Joe purchased a bicycle and biked over 100 miles.
He is survived by his father, Bernie Hennessy; brothers and sisters, Michael (Wende) Kulas, Patrick (Cindy), Kathleen (Bob) Rehbein, Michael (Karen), Brian, Anne, Maureen (Wayne) Schauble, James, and Shannon (Eric) Trocinski; step brothers and sisters, John (Peggy) Kennedy, Bernie Joe (Karla) Kennedy, Patricia (Richard) Stark, Maureen (Mike) Hurley and Jim Kennedy; his New Hampshire family, Maxine, Ronda and Angela; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mothers, Rose, Bev & Mary; sister, Sharon Chavez and nephew, Justin Kukowski.
Private family celebration of life and burial will be on Saturday, July 31st at Hart Cemetery with Deacon Gerald Trocinski officiating.
