Jordan Hove, age 82, passed away suddenly Wednesday, December 14th at his home in Dover.
Jordan Julius Hove was born September 27, 1934, in Austin MN to Julius and Esther (Hammond) Hove. The family moved to the Dover area where he grew up. Jordan graduated from Dover School. He married Donna Anderson on August 3rd, 1957. Shortly after they were married they moved to California and Jordan went on to serve in the United States Air Force. Following his 4 year enlistment they settled back in Dover MN were they raised their three daughters.
Jordan was part of the electricians union and traveled to different areas for work before settling in at IBM as an electrician for years then retiring in 1991. He was a retired volunteer fireman and chief with the Dover Volunteer Fire Department.
Jordan enjoyed woodworking, camping, playing cards and riding motorcycle. Jordan and Donna were long time members of the Thunderbolts Motorcycle club and served as President and Vice President. The club has since disbursed but enjoyed fundraising for the Ronald McDonald House.
Jordan is survived by three daughters, Deb (Greg) Johnson of Racine WI, Renee (Phil) Putzier of Dover MN, Gay (Tony) Hove-Moen of Racine MN two grandchildren Kristopher (Jaime) Putzier, Kassie Putzier, and one great grandchild Brody Putzier, two brothers; Lyndon Hove of Campo, CA and Wayne Hove of Hager City, WI.
Jordan is preceded in death by his wife Donna; parents, Julius & Esther Hove, and a brother Ronald Hove.
Friends may call from 5 - 6:30 p.m. Monday, December 19th at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service in St. Charles. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 with the Reverend Heather E.
