John R. Hearn

RUSHFORD, MINN. - John R. Hearn, 81, of Rushford died on Tuesday, February 27, 2007, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford. John was born on May 24, 1925, in Augusta, Kansas. John was raised in Kansas. He served in the U.S. Military for over 17 years. He worked as an insurance salesman. John also served as commander of the American Legion and was manager of a baseball team while he lived in the twin cities. He moved to Rushford in 1985. John was a member of the American Legion and the VFW in Rushford. He married Lila Glenna in 1962, she died in 1997. He married Debbie Simon on April 15, 2000. John is survived by his wife Debbie, two daughters, and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife. The funeral service for John will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, at Hoff Funeral Homes - Rushford Chapel with funeral celebrant John Wagonaar officiating. Burial will be in the Rushford Lutheran Cemetery in the Spring. Friends may call from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the Funeral Home.
