John "Jack" Thomas Pelowski 81, of Rochester, formerly of Dover, died Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Hospital, Rochester - Methodist Campus.
Jack was born April 19, 1937 in Galesville, WI, 19 minutes after his twin brother James. He attended Pine Creek, WI Catholic School and Saratoga, MN Country School.
Jack was mechanically gifted; he could take anything apart and put it back together with no parts left over. He excelled with engine repair for graders, pay loaders, and other heavy equipment.
He is survived by one son, Rick (Linda) Wilkins; three daughters, Jackie Pelowski, Joni (Gene) Judge and Janis (Mark) Stokes; six grandchildren, Walter Pelowski, Thomas Fortney, Catherine Pelowski, Rachael Fortney, Kelsy Stokes and Taylor Stokes; 7 great-grandchildren; twin brother James (Shirley) Pelowski and 21 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Felix and Sophia (Losinski) Pelowski; wife, Judy (Quandt) Pelowski; brother Raymond and infant brother Joseph; sisters Lorraine Smith and Mary Reiman and two nephews.
Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m., Monday, July 23, 2018 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with the Reverend William Kulas officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery - Dover. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Sunday at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service - St. Charles and one hour prior to Mass at the church.
