John Allyn Krage, 70, of Winona, died Monday, March 21, 2011 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in LaCrosse.John was born September 14, 1940 on the family farm in Winona to William and Lillian (Albrecht) Krage. On September 25, 1971, John was united in marriage to Joyce Wolff at St. John's Lutheran Church in Wood Lake, Minnesota. When he was not working on the dairy and beef farm, John also stayed active by driving bus. He later retired from Waste Management Company.He enjoyed hunting on the farm and always had stories to share about his adventures. John and Joyce also had a permanent camp site at Money Creek. Family was very important to John and he loved playing card games.John is survived by his loving wife of nearly 40 years, Joyce; sister, Carol (Sherman) Woodward of Minnesota City; sisters-in-law, Shirley (Jim) Stevensen of Richfield and Betty Wolff of Hancock, MI; brothers-in-law, Lowell (Lila) Wolff of Clara City and Dick (Arlene) Wolff of Shakopee; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers-in-law, Arvin and Roger Wolff.Services to remember John will be held Friday, March 25, 2011 at 11:00am at Immanuel United Methodist Church with Reverend Kathy Schuler officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, March 24, 2011 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service-Hansen Goodview Chapel and one hour prior to the service at the church.
