John A. Wetzel

John A. Wetzel, 57, died Monday, April 18, 2005 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. John was born April 10, 1948 in Winona, MN to Roy and Virginia (Addelman) Wetzel. John was a 1966 graduate of Winona Senior High and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He married Judi Smith on June 7, 1969 in Winona, MN. They had been married for 30 years and later divorced. John had been a custodian for several businesses in Winona including St. Teresa's College and Winona County Highway Dept. John enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Survivors include his father, Roy Wetzel of Winona; daughter, Christine C. Wetzel of Winona; grandchildren, Harley Jo and John Stoltz; brothers, Richard Wetzel of Winona and David Wetzel of Fountain City, WI; sister, Jeanne Ward of Fountain City, WI; and dear friend, Judi Wetzel. He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia and sister, Judy. A Memorial Mass will be offered on Saturday, April 23, 2005 at Cathedral of Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Roy Literski officiating. Interment will be in the Witoka Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Military Honors will be provided by the Leon J.
