Joan C. Lehnertz, 84, of St. Charles, MN died on Friday, June 28, 2019, at Whitewater Health Services in St. Charles.
Joan was born on July 4, 1934, in Rollingstone, MN to Henry and Marguerite (Schlink) Siebenaler. She was raised in the Rollingstone area. Joan met Robert Lehnertz at the Pla-mor Ballroon in Rochester. On December 30, 1954, the couple were united in marriage at Oak Ridge Church in rural Altura, MN. She worked at the Cottage Inn Cafe in St. Charles as a waitress. She also worked at Whitewater Health Services in the laundry department for many years. Joan had a genuine love for people and enjoyed volunteering at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in St. Charles where she was a member and also at the Senior Center. In addition, she enjoyed pottery, making quilts, playing bingo and cards, buying and selling antiques, snowmobiling, horses and trail rides.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; two daughters: Barb Lehnertz of the Twin Cities and Sue (Scott) Cloutier of Rochester, MN; four grandchildren: Ryan Corey, Jeremy, and Danielle; five great-grandchildren and a brother, Paul Siebenaler of Altura, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters: Mary Lou Kavanagh and Jean Ann Siebenaler.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in St. Charles at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, with the Reverend Tim Biren officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in St. Charles. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at the church on Wednesday.
