James Joseph "Jimmy" Novak, 90, formerly of Stockton died Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Mille Lacs Health System in Onamia. Jimmy was born March 16, 1930 in St. Paul to Otto and Josephine (Mugraner) Novak. He grew up and went to school in St. Paul. On May 22, 1954 Jimmy and Marlene Paul were married in St. Paul. He worked 45 years as a printer for St. Paul Fire and Marine. They later moved to Sauk Centre. In 1995 Jimmy and Marlene moved to Bass Camp, before making their home in Stockton. Marlene died March 22, 2009. Jimmy then moved to Zumbrota to live near his son.
He was a hard worker who provided well for his family. Jimmy enjoyed deer hunting, snowmobiling and riding his ATV.
Survivors include his four children; David of Pine Island, Laura (Mark) Ingebrigtsen of Oak Grove, Renee (Paul) Fox of Winona and Nick of Mazeppa, daughter-in-law Kate Novak, nine grandchildren Jack & Ellen Novak, Charlie Rolbiecki, Michael (Melissa) Ingebrigtsen, Melissa (Nicholas) Keane, Derek Gish, Linnea (Travis) Pitre, Jennifer Moser and David Fox, and great-grandchildren ; Brooklynn Novak, Keira, Kolten, Kaci & Kwynn Ingebrigtsen, Aili, Riley, Joie and Emmit Keane, Lucas Gish, Obadiaha & Judah Moser and Curry Meyer. He was preceded in death by his wife Marlene and three brothers, Frank, Otto and George.
A private family Funeral Mass will be at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Rollingstone on Friday, December 4, 2020 with the Reverend Chinnappa Pothireddy officiating.
