St. Charles, James Thomas Grebin, 37, Marie Catherine Grebin 7, and Mark James Grebin, 5, all of St. Charles died Friday January 10th from injuries received in an auto accident on Interstate 90 near Rochester. Funeral Services will be 3:30 PM Tuesday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with the Rev. Mark Pluim of Heartland Community Church officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery in St. Charles. Friends may call from 3-8 PM Monday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Jim was born August 10, 1965 in Austin to Thomas and Cleo (Jirele) Grebin. He graduated from Austin Pacelli High School in 1984; where he was involved in athletics and was part of the state championship track and field team in 1983 and 1984. He graduated from University of Northern Iowa in 1988 with a degree in Power, Energy and Technology. Jim and Sheri Suther were married June 10, 1989 in Perry, Iowa, moving to St. Charles in 1990. He worked as a Process Engineer for Rochester Medical Services of Stewartville. Jim belonged to Heartland Community Church of St. Charles and was recently appointed to the St. Charles Library Board. He was devoted to his family and to kids. He loved the outdoors; fishing and hiking. Jim had an appreciated sense of humor, he liked people and enjoyed the chance to BS. Survivors include his wife Sheri and son Brooks both at home, parents Tom and Cleo Grebin of Austin, three sisters, Cathy (Tim) Duren of Austin; Mary (Warren) Granthan of St. Paul and Joan Grebin of St. Louis Park and paternal grandmother Genevieve Grebin of Austin.
