Jerry Whetstone

Jerry Whetstone, 88 of Winona, died Monday, March 10, 2025 at Winona Health.

Jerry was born December 19, 1936 in Winona to Donald and Lorraine (Knoll) Whetstone. He graduated from Winona Senior High. On July 27, 1957 he married Judy Herbert. Jerry worked at Watkins for 42 years and was very active in the community throughout the years.

He is survived by his children, Joy Mason and Jay Whetstone; two grandchildren, Jamie (Chad) Ellinghuysen and Ashley Mason (Luke Kronebusch); two great-grandchildren, Jovelyn and Ryker; brother, Wes Whetstone; sister, Audrey Smith; special friend, Maryann Grulkowski; special friend and caretaker, Terry Sebranek; and four-legged companion Jade.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy in 2011; his parents; two sisters, Marlene and Judy and two brothers, Lyle and Skip.

Per his wishes, services will be held privately. He will be laid to rest next to Judy at Woodlawn Cemetery. Hoff Celebration of Life Center – Goodview is assisting the family with arrangements. www.hofffuneral.com.
