HOUSTON, MINN. - Jeremy Michael Cox, 32, of Houston, Minn. went to be with his Lord with his daughter, Isabel at his side as the result of a motor vehicle accident. Jeremy was born on September 19, 1977, in LaCrosse, Wis. to Marvin and Chris (Foote) Cox. He was raised in Houston and was a 1996 graduate of Houston High School. Jeremy earned his Eagle Scout Award. He graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science with a minor in English from the University of Wisconsin, LaCrosse. On July 20, 2002, Jeremy was united in marriage with Kristine Lind at Bethany Evangelical Free Church in Houston. Jeremy was currently employed at HAB, Inc. in LaCrosse, working in computer support and training. He was an active member of Bethany Evangelical Free Church, Houston Fire Dept., treasurer of the Houston Relief Assoc. for the fire dept., President of the Friends of the Houston Library, and a volunteer driver for the Houston Ambulance Service. Jeremy enjoyed woodcarving, traveling, camping, canoeing in the Boundary Waters, and was a very devoted husband and father. He is survived by his wife Kristine; son, Liam Cox, age 11 months; parents: Marvin and Chris Cox of Houston; father and mother-in-law: Ben and Linda Lind of Houston; paternal grandfather, Harold Cox of Houston, Minn.; maternal grandparents: Floyd and Orpha Foote of West Concord, Minn.; brother: Daniel (Tomomi) Cox of Houston; three sisters: Suzanne (Matthew) Peterson, Janelle (Dustin) Sayles, and Melanie Cox all of Houston; sister-in-law: Jennifer (John) Mueller of Winona, Minn.; and five nieces and nephews. Jeremy was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Edith Cox. The funeral service for Jeremy and Isabel will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Houston with the Rev. T. Wayne Larson officiating. Burial will be in the Swede Bottom Cemetery in Houston. Friends may call from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church and one hour prior to the service on Saturday also at the church.
