Jerald "Jerry" Lee Burch, 52, of Winona, lost his battle to cancer on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, where he passed away peacefully with his 3 J's by his side. Jerry was born on March 28, 1964 in Piqua, Ohio to Denver and Marjorie (Steinke) Burch. He lived there until 1979, when his family moved to Winona. He graduated from Winona Senior High in 1982. On June 13, 1992, Jerry married the love of his life, Jane Volkman. He worked for Bay State Milling, Winona Health, did construction and roofing, Winona Lighting, and Coke-a-Cola. He had a strong faith and was a member of Goodview Trinity Lutheran Church where he served on the church council. Jerry was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and being on the river. He loved the Minnesota Vikings and a good social life. He had a carefree spirit and was passionate about living life to the fullest. Jerry is survived by his wife, Jane; daughters, Jaida and Janessa; siblings, Chris Burch, Deb (Jim) Ernst, Patty (John) Durnen, Lori (Joe) Luby, and Barb Burch; father and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Doris Oevering; many in-laws, nieces and nephews; and his dog, Tek. He is preceded in death by his parents and infant brother, Jeff. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Goodview Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverend Ben Sadler officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., beginning with the prayer service at four, at Hoff Celebration of Life Center, Goodview, Tuesday, January 17, 2017 and one hour prior to the service at the church.
