Jeanne M. Hoffman, 77, of rural Minnesota City died Thursday, November 13th, 2003, at St. Anne's Extended Health Care in Winona with her husband (Jim) at her side.Jeanne was born January 29, 1926 in Elba to William and Clara (Speltz) Guidinger. Following her parents' death she was raised by her step parents Andrew and Adelaide Botzet. She taught country school before marrying Jim Hoffman on June 7, 1947 at St. Joseph Parish in Winona. The couple farmed their entire married lives on the Hoffman family century farm in Rollingstone Township of Winona County. Jeanne was active until entering St. Anne's after a diagnose of a malignant brain tumor in October. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Rollingstone, Catholic Aid and the St. Theresa Society. She served as secretary of Rollingstone Town Board for many years. Jeanne had a great love for cooking for family and friends, andpies were one of her specialties. Survivors include her husband Jim, six children; Ruth (Richard) Hein of Madison, WI, Bill (Donna) Hoffman of Minnesota City, Joni (Dave) Dailey of Geneseo, IL, Lori (Kurt) Goetzman of Rochester, Kathy (Dan) Buchholz of LaCrescent, and Judi (Duane) Adelman of Lakeville, 9 grandchildren; Elise, Serena, Andy, Joey, Ashley, Dustin, Dylan, Shelby and Amber. Her step parents preceded her in death.A Funeral Mass for Jeanne will be 2:30 PM Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Rollingstone with the Rev. Michael Cronin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Holy Trinity Church from 4-8 PM Sunday and one hour before services Monday. There will be a Prayer Service at 8 PM Sunday at the church.
