Jeanette Rose Sorenson

Jeanette Rose Sorenson, 76 of Winona, died Saturday, September 14, 2013 at her home. Jeanette was born November 10, 1936 in Winona County to Henry and Delores (Maschka) Kramer. She graduated from Winona High School and in 1957, she married Richard C. Langowski. Together they had four children; they were later divorced. On May 15, 1982, Jeanette married the love of her life, Judson "Jud" Sorenson. She worked for many years as an office manager at various businesses in the area and most recently worked as a Clerk of Courts at the Winona County Courthouse. Jeanette was extremely active in the community and could often be found volunteering for Telecare, Winona Health Auxillary, Red Cross, or driving people to their appointments. She was an active member of Central Lutheran Church. Jeanette was a selfless woman who would do anything for anyone; she was very generous, donating her time and money to many organizations. She was also a fantastic baker and was well known for her famous homemade buns.She is survived by four children, Randy Langowski, Janell (Gary) Jack, Debra (John Kanthack) Langowski and Ron Langowski, all of Winona; three step-children, Eric (Linda) Sorenson of Delta, CO, Dean Sorenson of Rollingstone and Sandra (Mark Stevens) Sorenson of Stewartville; 12 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; sister, Darlene (Kenny) Johnson of Goodview; two brothers, Darrell (Barb Whetstone) Kramer of Stockton and Billy (Juanita) Kramer of Albuquerque, NM; sister-in-law, Lois Kramer of Winona; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jud in 2008; her parents; one brother, Wayne Kramer, a sister, Marlene (Bob) Buege and a sister-in-law Jody Kramer.Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 20, 2013 at Central Lutheran Church with the Reverend Michelle Rem officiating. Visitation will be 4 -8 p.m., Thursday at Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Goodview and one hour prior to the service on Friday at church.
