Utica, Jean Marie Prudoehl, 50, of rural Utica died suddenly Monday morning June 28, 2004 at Whitewater Healthcare Center in St. Charles, following a lengthy illness. Jean was born March 26, 1954 in Winona to William and Mildred (Koetz) Prudoehl. She attended Summit School near her home in Utica, later attending St. John's Lutheran School in Lewiston and graduating from St. Charles High School in 1972. Jean married James Adams of Rochester in 1973, they later divorced. Jean worked various jobs in Rochester, St. Charles and Winona, including; The Kaehler Hotel, Altura Turkey Plant and Northstar Foods of St. Charles. Jean was a gentle soul who loved her Lord, her family, and animals of all kinds, especially horses and cats. Before her illness she loved to travel, crochet and do embroidery and latch hook. She was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Lewiston. Jean is survived by her mother, Mildred of Utica, two brothers, Donn (Delores) of St. Charles, and Roger of Utica, a sister Kathy of Portage, WI, a nephew Nick (Bonnie) Prudoehl of St. Charles, 11 great nephews and nieces and her cat fuzzy. She was preceded in death by her father, William, grandparents Ben and Anna Koetz and Emil and Hattie Prudoehl, her sister Patricia, a niece Patty and a sister-in-law Maxine. Funeral Services will be 11AM Friday at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church with the Revs. David A. Fischer and Michael A. Lindemann officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in St. Charles. Friends may call from 5-8 PM Thursday at Hoff Funeral Home's St. Charles Chapel. They may also call one hour before services on Friday at the church.
