Jean Nett, 85, died Monday, June 30, 2008, at Winona Community Memorial Hospital in Winona, MN. Jean was born April 9, 1923, in Scobey, Montana, to Patrick John and Helen (Kemp) Enright. They later moved to Minot, ND, where she graduated from St. Leo's High School in 1940. After her father's death in 1940, they moved to Winona, MN, where she attended Winona Secretarial School. She worked as a teller at Merchants Bank in Winona. On May 14, 1946, she married John A. Nett in Winona. John was called into the service and they moved to Riverside, CA, where they resided for three years, moving back to Winona in 1952 and settled in Rollingstone, MN. In 1979, they moved to Trempealeau, WI, and lived there until John's death in 1999. Jean moved back to Winona where she has been living with her sister, Ellen and son, Richard. Jean was a member of Cathedral of Sacred Heart in Winona.Survivors include her eight children, John (Kris) Nett of Winona, MN, Mary (Barry) Powell of Carol Stream, IL, Richard Nett of Winona, MN, Kate (Todd) Smith of Wabasha, MN, Barb Nett of Madison, WI, Joanne Nett of Chicago, IL, Joe (Darby) Nett of Santa Barbara, CA and Steve (Becky) Nett of Spring Valley, IL; 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Ellen Enright of Winona, MN; brother, John (Ethel) Enright of Plymouth, MN; sisters-in-law, Julie Nett of Winona, MN, and Mary Lou Maurer of Redmond, WA; and aunt, Marion Enright. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John and sister, Kaye Slade.A Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, July 3, 2008, at 2:00pm at Cathedral of Sacred Heart with the Reverend Richard Colletti officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Winona. Friends may call on Wednesday at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service Hansen Goodview Chapel from 4-7:00pm where there will be a Christian Prayer Service at 6:30pm.
