PETERSON, MINN. - Jaymour G. Lee, 82, of Peterson died Monday, February 28, 2005, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford. He was born on January 2, 1922, in Highland, Minn. to Gilbert T. and Ina (Jensen) Lee. Jaymour was a graduate of Peterson High School. He married Violette Lee on March 13, 1943. Jaymour was a Peterson area farmer all of his life. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Peterson where he was the Supt. of the Sunday School for many years. He was a founding member of the Peterson Credit Union. Jaymour was a hard working man, who lived by strong beliefs which he passed on to following generations. He is survived by his wife Violette; two daughters: Sandy (Maynard) Thompson of Peterson, Minn. and Rachel (Roger) Stearns of Hutchinson, Minn.; five grandchildren: Jeff (Barb), Brad (Kim) Brian (Jenny), Jenny, and Corrie (Craig); three great-grandchildren: Kayla, Brady and Olivia Violet; two brothers: Jacob (Ruth) Lee of Huxley, Iowa and David (Barb) Lee of Peterson, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters: Emma Olson and Rollyce Hoistad. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2005 at Grace Lutheran Church in Peterson with the Revs. Ronald and Janet Warnes officiating. Burial will be in the West Grace Lutheran Cemetery in Peterson. Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church in Peterson. The family prefers memorials to be directed to Alzheimer's research.
