Jane Frances (Kieffer) Schultz, aged 77, died on October 24, 2024, at her home in North Richland Hills, Texas. She was a beloved mother, wife and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Jane was born on December 24, 1946, in Elba Township. Jane met Robert in high school. They were married on July 10, 1965, in St. Charles, MN. The young couple moved to Rochester, MN and stayed there for over twenty years. Jane worked at the Mayo Clinic from 1964 to 1986. They moved to North Richland Hills, TX, where Jane remained until her death. She retired from Hobby Lobby in 2004 where she had worked for many years.
Jane lived a full life that included raising three children, Robert, Joanne and Breanna. Her passions included knitting, traveling, and reading books. Jane bowled for many years and was secretary for many bowling leagues during her time. She also served as a Youth bowling coach. Jane enjoyed doing word search puzzles and keeping her mind active. She was a strong woman of faith, and her love will be remembered, as will her calling to serve others.
Jane is survived by her husband Robert Schultz; her son Robert and wife Shannon Schultz of MN, granddaughter Kristina and husband James Finn IV, great-grandsons Patrick and Henry of UT; grandson Robert Schultz Jr. of MD; granddaughter Haley and her husband Caleb Williams of IA; grandson Connor Schultz of MN; her daughter Joanne Ashworth of TN; granddaughter Taia and her husband Cody Mathis, great-grandson Rylan of TN; granddaughter Tacy Ashworth of TN; granddaughter Tawny Ashworth of TN; her daughter Breanna Schultz and partner Russell Williamson, grandson Atticus of TN and grandson Conner Williamson of TN, her brother Bernard Kieffer and wife Helen of CA; her sister Rose Pieper of WI.
She is preceded in death by her parents Leo and Evelyn Kieffer; brother Joseph Kieffer; her in-laws Cleyson and Jean Schultz; and her son-in-law Eric Ashworth.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday November 16, 2024 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with Father Dan Sedlacek officiating. There will be lunch following Mass held at the church. Jane will then be laid to rest at St. Aloysius Cemetery.
