Jane L. Lindner, 75, of Winona died peacefully Sunday, December 13, 2015, at St. Anne Extended Healthcare in Winona.She was born in Estherville, IA, the daughter of Gerald and Iva Niemeyer. She graduated from Worthington High School in Worthington, MN, and then attended and graduated with honors from Luther College in Decorah, IA, where she majored in German and Music. She taught German in the Elgin Public Schools in Elgin, IL.Jane married Richard Lindner on June 9, 1963, in Elgin, IL.Jane was an accomplished musician; a pianist, organist and trumpet player. She took great pleasure in composing sacred music for children's choir and music for organ. She especially loved teaching children--both the children's choir she directed and through private piano lessons. She was the organist at Faith Lutheran Church and played trumpet in the Winona Municipal Band and cornet in the Winona Brass Band. She was a great traveler and she and her husband enjoyed many trips together.She is survived by her husband, Richard, her son David (Cheryl), Nashua, NH; daughter, Anne, Severna Park, MD; grandchildren Sarah and Natalie, Nashua, NH, and Jack and Andrew, Severna Park, MD; and her sister, Darlene Larson, Alexandria, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Iva Niemeyer.Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, December 15th, Pastor Mark Dumke officiating, with visitation preceding the service, at Faith Lutheran Church, Winona, MN. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be directed to either St. Anne Extended Healthcare or Lutheran World Relief (
