James Sidney Nesler, 84, a retired farmer and Nesler Livestock Trucking died Saturday morning December 24th at his home in Dover. He was born November 14, 1921 in Haverhill Township and graduated fro Elgin High School in 1939. He married Phyllis M. Parker in 1941 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Elgin. They moved near Dover where they farmed and operated their trucking business. He was a licensed and bonded dealer and trucked all over the United States, Canada and Mexico with connections to Puerto Rico. After moving into Dover her continued to drive truck for R & R Robinson and for Mayflower Moving at IBM. Jim enjoyed traveling, hunting pheasants, turkey, deer and elk with his grandsons. Survivors include his wife Phyllis, two sons James S. (Carmen), David (Gretchen), two daughters, Nancy (Joseph) Diedrich and Kim Diedrich all of Dover. 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, three sisters, Dorothy Radke of Plainview, Shirley (Stanley) Bowman of Garvin Heights, MN and Phyllis Gloyne of Winona. He was preceded in death by two sons Sidney and Gerald, one granddaughter Jennifer and a brother Calvin.
