James L. "Jim" Prudoehl, 82, of St. Charles died Monday November 7, 2011 at Golden Living Center in St. Charles. Jim was born December 4, 1928 in St. Charles to Avolt and Lydia (Hughley) Prudoehl. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in St. Charles. Jim and Donna Spitzer were married October 9, 1953. Jim and Donna took over the farm operations upon their marriage in 1953, retiring from farming in 1987. He was born, raised and lived on the same farm all his life, until entering Golden Living Center in St. Charles on May 5, 2011. He was a lifelong member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife Donna, a brother-in-law Rudie (Marie) Spitzer of St. Charles, a sister-in-law Shirley Spitzer of St. Charles, cousins and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Donald died in infancy, two half brothers Earl and Vernon Hughley, grandparents, Berthold and Elizabeth Prudoehl and Henry and Mathilda Streich, Sr., his wife's parents Adolph and Anna Spitzer, brother-in-law Vernon (Carol) Spitzer and Ervin Spitzer. Funeral Services will be 11AM Friday at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service with the Reverend Larry La Dassor of St. Matthew Lutheran Church officiating.
