James Lyle Stewart

James L. "Jim" Stewart, 54, of Lewiston died Friday February 3, 2006 at his home. Jim was born June 1, 1951 in Estherville, Iowa to Ralph and Marian (Hoffa) Stewart. He graduated from Estherville High School and later from Estherville Community College. Jim served in the Navy from 1971 - 1974. He and Debra "Debbie" Riedelsperger were married on December 21, 1973 in Virginia. He worked as a Conservation Technician with the Soil and Water Service in Redwood Falls, MN. In 1988 the couple moved to Lewiston. In Lewiston he worked as the Winona County Soil & Water Conservation District Manager. Jim had a passion for golf. He also enjoyed fishing, pheasant hunting with his dog Maggie and riding his Harley. Most of all he loved his family. Survivors include his wife Debbie, two daughters, Sara (Jeff) Gorder of Utica and Emily Stewart of Mankato, parents Ralph and Marian Stewart of Mason City, IA and a sister Betty (Don) Chipman of Mason City, IA. He was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth.
