James Boettcher

James Allen Boettcher, 57 of Utica, died Monday, August 20, 2012 at Olmsted Medical Center in Rochester.He was born June 6, 1955 in Winona to Arthur "Pete" & Florence (Mielke) Boettcher. He graduated from St. Charles High School. He served in the Army National Guard in 1976. Jim worked at Northstar Foods & Fibrite before starting his career at Crenlo where he has worked since February of 1979. He married Pat Maringer, they had one daughter, Amy, and were later divorced. In 2011, he met Tammie York and they were currently engaged and planning their wedding for August 31, 2013.Jim loved hunting, fishing, camping, playing cards, going to Amy's volleyball games and most of all, loved to ride his Harley.He will be sadly missed by his fiancé, Tammie York; daughter, Amy Boettcher (Nathan Geilow) of Eyota, and her mother, Pat Maringer; step-children, Bob Maringer, Andrea (Yusef) Orest and Michael (Amber) Maringer, all of Lewiston; future step-children, Brian (Danielle) York of Harmony and Crystal (Bradley) Bries of Sparta; 11 step-grandchildren and 2 on the way; sisters, Jo Ann (Paul) Lange of Utica, Sherry (Randy) Hahn of Utica, Kathy Koenig (Jim Schuster) of Lewiston and Sue (Mike) Sanders of Eyota; many nieces, nephews and close friends.Jim is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Ronald.Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Thursday, August 23 at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service and one hour prior to the service on Friday.Funeral Services to celebrate Jim's life will be 11 a.m., Friday, August 24, 2012 at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service in St. Charles, led by Funeral Celebrant, Jenny Hoff. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Utica with committal prayers led by Reverend Tim Gerarden.
