Jacquelyn "Jackie" Lettner

Jacquelyn "Jackie" Marie Lettner, 74 of Fountain City, died Friday, August 16, 2024 at Winona Health.

Jackie was born February 2, 1950 in Arcadia to Floyd and Delores (Baures) Kriesel. She graduated from C-FC High School. In 1971, she married Hap Lettner, they had two children, Melissa and Lucas, and later divorced.

Jackie worked at UBC and Dr. Cross Dental Office. She owned and operated the Corner Store in Fountain City before settling into a career at Winona State University. Throughout her time at WSU she worked in various administrative positions, including the Registrars Office. While working at WSU, she began attending and graduated with an associates degree. She was a longtime member of TOPS.

Jackie enjoyed playing cards, BINGO and cheering for the Packers and Duke basketball. Her family was her pride and joy and she loved spending time with them. She never missed an event that her kids or grandchildren were participating in.

Jackie spent the last years of her life at Sugar Loaf Senior Living in Winona where she met many friends and truly lived out her last years with much joy.

She is survived by her children, Melissa (Chris) Hamsund and Lucas Lettner; grandchildren, Grant and Ava Hamsund; brothers and sister, John (Betty) Kriesel, Dave (Katie) Kriesel, Terry (D'Anne) Kriesel, Bill (Kelli Neitzel) Kriesel, Lori (Les) Neu and Bob (Gena) Kriesel;her former husband, Hap (Carol) Lettner and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Friday, August 23, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish, Fountain City, WI with Fr. Aruldoss Savarimuthu officiating. She will be laid to rest at Fountain City Public Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Thursday at Hoff Celebration of Life Center - Goodview and one hour prior to Mass at the church.
