Jack Finley, 82, of Chatfield passed away Friday, April 26, 2024, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, with his daughter, Jeanette by his side.
Jackie William Finley was born June 7, 1941, in Chatfield, the fifth child to William & Muriel (Stantoine) Finley.
Jack attended county school through the 8th grade. He went to work at the Ford garage in Chatfield and then Kark rendering plant. Before working for 47 years at the meat locker. He won several awards for his meat recipes. Jack married Betty Loise Theel on February 23, 1963, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, in Chatfield. They were married for 60 years before Betty’s passing last year. Before his heart disease limited his ability, Jack enjoyed fishing & hunting.
Jack is survived by his daughter; Jeanette Finley (Dan Hanson), brother; Jerry Finley of Chatfield, 2 sisters; Janice Hanson of Chatfield, and Jewel (Doug) Dailey of Pine City, and several nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Betty, Jerome and James Finley.
Funeral Service for Jack will be 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chatfield with Pastor Peter Haugen officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Burial will be at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery following the service.
