HOUSTON, MINN. - Isabel Rose Cox, 3, of Houston, Minn. went to be with Jesus in Heaven with her daddy at her side as the result of a motor vehicle accident. Isabel loved to sing, dress up like a princess, and dance. She made everyday a fashion show, complete with jewelry and accessories. Isabel was so smart and loved to learn. She had pride in knowing all of her letters and sounds and could write her family's names and count to 10 in Norwegian. Isabel loved to pick flowers and give them to people. She loved her pug, Patty, and her best friend Teddy, was always by her side. She slept with the books she treasured and always wanted to cuddle up for story time. She looked forward to going to the library with her daddy. Isabel always enjoyed making crafts and cooking with her mommy. She adored being a big sister to her baby brother, Liam. Isabel was dedicated to the Lord by her parents on December 17, 2006. She left a beautiful imprint on the hearts of everyone who knew her. She is survived by her mother, Kristine; brother, Liam Cox, age 11 months; paternal grandparents: Marvin and Chris Cox, and maternal grandparents: Ben and Linda Lind all of Houston; paternal great-grandparents, Harold Cox of Houston, Minn and Floyd and Orpha Foote of West Concord, Minn; maternal great-grandfather: Robert Mattila of Hastings, Minn. ; uncle: Daniel (Tomomi) Cox of Houston; four aunts: Suzanne (Matthew) Peterson, Janelle (Dustin) Sayles, and Melanie Cox all of Houston, and Jennifer (John) Mueller of Winona, Minn.; and five cousins: Tetsuya, Momo, Shouta, Preston, and Coleman. Isabel was preceded in death by her paternal great-grandmother, Edith Cox; maternal great-grandparents Alvie and Judith Lind and Ellen Mattila. The funeral service for Isabel and her daddy will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Houston with the Rev. T. Wayne Larson officiating. Burial will be in the Swede Bottom Cemetery in Houston. Friends may call from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church and one hour prior to the service on Saturday also at the church. Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service in Houston is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
