Rochester, Isaac W. Bera, 29, of Rochester died early Tuesday morning, June 22, 2010, in Rochester. He was born April 16, 1981, in the Dominican Republic to Melvin Bera and Beth Heim de Bera. At the age of five, Isaac moved with his family to St. Charles where he attended kindergarten. He then moved to Rochester where he graduated from John Marshall High School in 1999. In May of this year Isaac graduated from Winona State University with a degree in history. Isaac loved sports and kids. He was a junior high volunteer coach while in Winona and a much beloved babysitter. He also loved history and was a voracious reader who loved to talk politics with his grandpa. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Survivors include his mother Beth Heim de Bera of Rochester, his father Melvin Bera of the Dominican Republic, a sister Vanessa Bera of Hopkins, maternal grandparents, Bill L and Margaret Heim of St. Charles and many aunts, uncles and cousins. A Funeral Mass will be 2 PM Saturday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with the Reverend James Callahan officiating. Cremation will follow with burial at a later date in St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery in Elba. Friends may call from 6-8 PM Friday at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service in St. Charles.
