Irene Lucy Hoffman, 85, of Rollingstone died Monday June 15, 2009 at Lake Winona Manor. Irene was born December 1, 1923 to Frank and Susan (Filla) Klimek. She grew up in Arcadia and graduated from Arcadia High School in 1941. Irene married Eustice J. Hoffman on June 10, 1946. They farmed near Rollingstone until 1970. Irene worked for many years at the College of St. Theresa in food service. She enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, playing cards and praying the rosary. Irene had good sense of humor and was known for her laugh and enjoyed visiting with friends and family. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, St. Theresa Society and volunteered as a senior companion for Catholic Charities. Survivors include three children; James R. (Carolyn) Hoffman of Rollingstone, John Hoffman of Minneapolis and Mary (Donald) Frisch of Minnesota City, eight grandchildren, Amy (Rick) Peterson , Kelly Hoffman, Erica Hoffman, Emily (Dewitt) Lane, Sheila Kowalewski, Scott (Ilham) Frisch, Martha Frisch and John (Jacyln) Frisch, seven great-grandchildren, Kalvin Kowalewski, Kyle Kowalewski, Matthew Hoffman, Michael Hoffman, Dewitt Lane, Vincent Frisch and Ryan Frisch, two brothers, Monsignor Edmund Klimek of Eau Claire, WI and Joseph (Dorothy) Klimek of Whitehall, a sister Rose Pierzina of Arcadia and Godson, Bill Hoffman. She was preceded in death by her husband Eustice in 1982, also by a sister Pelchie Berens and a brother Ernest Klimek. A Funeral Mass will be 11AM Thursday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Rollingstone with Monsignor Edmund Klimek and Reverend Donald Lovas officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Holy Trinity Catholic Church from 4-8PM Wednesday at one hour before services on Thursday with a Prayer Service at 7:30 PM Wednesday. Please share a memory of Irene on-line at
