Irene F. Nahrgang

Irene F. Nahrgang, 89, died Monday, May 7, 2007, at St. Anne Hospice of Winona. Irene was born October 12, 1917 in Rollingstone, MN to J.P. and Caroline (Fredrickson) Rinn. Irene graduated from Lewiston High School in 1936. She married Joseph W. Nahrgang in 1941 in Lewiston, MN. Irene had lived in Minneapolis, MN, Seattle, WA, Elkhart, IN, and Rochester, MN where she was a longtime employee for Dayton's where she retired in 1979. Upon her husband's death in 1979 she moved back to Lewiston, MN. She had been a resident of St. Anne's for the past two months. Irene was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Lewiston. Irene is remembered for her love to travel.Survivors include her sister, Rose Beech of Lewiston, MN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joe, three brothers, Elmer, John and Richard and a sister, Margaret.A Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, May 10, 2007, at 11:00am at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with the Reverend Marreddy Potherreddy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Hoff Funeral Homes - Lewiston Chapel on Wednesday from 6-8:00pm where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30pm.
