Irene Ann Puetz

Irene Ann Puetz, 89, of St. Charles, died Friday morning April 24th at the home of her son, Robert (Diane) Puetz, in East Bethel, MN. Before coming to live with her son she lived & was cared for at the Golden Living Center in St. Charles. Irene Ann Sagissor was born June 2, 1919 in Highland Township, Wabasha County. She married Cletus Puetz on September 19, 1939. He died May 29, 1993. Together they farmed at Clyde, MN before moving in to St. Charles in 1966. After moving to town, Irene was a cook at St. Charles Elementary School and worked at St. Charles Bakery. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Survivors include her son Robert (Diane) Puetz of East Bethel, grandchildren; Michelle (Peter) Ponca of Livingston, MT, Christin Puetz and her partner Jen Urso of Phoenix, AZ and Michael Puetz of Thief River Falls, MN. In addition to her husband, Irene was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Dorothy. A Funeral Mass will be at 2 PM Wednesday, April 29th at Hoff Funeral Home in St. Charles with The Reverend James F. Callahan officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in St. Charles.
