Ian Patrick Burke

Ian Patrick Burke, 23, died Saturday, June 3, 2006, at his home in Winona, MN. Ian was born December 14, 1982 in LaCrosse, WI to Terrence Burke and Debra (Blong) Burke. Ian attended Cotter and Winona Senior High Schools and worked at Winona Health (Watkins Home) for four years. He also had worked at McDonald's west, landscaped for a few years for his Uncles business, and most recently worked fro Papa Murphy's and Prism. Ian loved life, his friends, family and enjoyed music and traveling. Ian took great pride in his Irish heritage, would help others whenever he could and loved to cook. Ian had the ability to share a story with full recall with others. In his short life, Ian went through man struggles and losses, especially the loss of his son, Quinn, in November 2005. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.Survivors include his father, Terry Burke of Hastings, MN; mother, Debra Burke of Winona, MN; brother, Logan Burke of Winona, MN; grandfathers, James Burke and Merle Blong both of Winona, MN; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his special and loving pet, Boss. He was preceded in death by his son, Quinn Burke and grandmothers, Vivian Burke and Rose Marie Blong. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 9, 2006 at 10:00am at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service Hansen Tribute Center in Goodview, MN with the Reverend Douglas Ebertowski officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Winona, MN. Friends may call at the funeral home in Goodview on Thursday from 4-8:00pm where there will be a time for sharing memories at 7:00pm.
