Hilda M. Muhle

Hilda M. Muhle, 94, of Houston Died Monday, March 14, 2005, at the Valley View Nursing Home in Houston. Hilda was born on March 7, 1911, in Yucatan Township of Houston County, Minn. to Halvor T. and Margit (Skaalid) Muhle. She attended Yucatan Stone School. She Graduated from Houston High School and from Winona Business College. Hilda was employed at Winona State University as a Secretary to the President until retirement in 1976. She was a member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Houston where she participated in church activities. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the WSU Alumni Society. She is survived by one brother, Gynther Muhle of Houston, Minn.; two nieces: Marjorie (Skip) Whetstone of Winona, Minn. and Helen Dyrdahl of Houston, Minn.; one great-nephew, Steve (Kerry) Pye; two great-nieces, Sandra (Steve) Grulkowski and Kristie Dyrdahl; and by eight great-great-nieces and nephews. Hilda was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, four sisters, one niece and one great-niece. There will be a memorial service for Hilda on Saturday at 2:30 p.m., March 19, at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Houston with the Rev. Louise Stromberg officiating. Burial of her cremated body will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in rural Houston. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
