RUSHFORD, MINN. - Hilda L. Storlie, 94, of Rushford, died on Saturday, October 7, 2006, at Winona Community Memorial Hospital. She was born on April 29, 1912, in Fillmore, County to Germond and Mathilda (Martin) Halverson. She was educated in rural schools of Fillmore County. She married Orval Storlie in July of 1932, in Houston, Minnesota. He died in May of 1989. Hilda did electrical and electronics work for 25 years. She did electrical assembly work for the Northrup Corporation in California. Hilda took a course in electronics and then worked for North American Aviation. She worked as a repair technician in the Rockwell test laboratory. In 1971, she and her husband moved to Pascagoula, Mississippi, where she worked in the electronic test labs of Engalls Shipbuilders. She retired in 1977. After her husband's death, she moved to Rushford, where she was a member of Rushford Lutheran Church and its women's organizations. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and serving the community. Survivors include one son: O. Michael (Patricia) Storlie of San Antonio, Texas; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and one sister: Ovedia Anderson of Houston, Minn. She was preceded in death by her husband, six brothers, two sisters, one son, one daughter, and one grandson. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Rushford Lutheran Church with the Rev. Ron Warnes officiating.Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday at Hoff Funeral Homes - Rushford Chapel, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.
