HOUSTONHelen Naomi Hanson, 94 of Houston, died Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Caledonia Care & Rehab.Helen was born November 7, 1920 in La Crosse to Herman and Naomi (Pittinger) Solberg. On November 10, 1938, she married LeRoy Davy in La Crosse and they were later divorced. She was later united in marriage to Emil Hanson. Throughout her life, Helen had several different jobs, but her favorite was being a babysitter to many children in the Houston area. Some of her hobbies included reading mystery novels, cooking and baking, gardening, and fishing in her younger years. She was a proud member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 45 years. Helen is survived by her children, Delores Miller, Beverly Davy, Rosemary Kueker, Ruth (Skip) Kempter, Donald Davy, Laura Cephas, John (Emi) Davy, Sharon (Larry) Gamer, and Jimmy Davy; 23 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil; and sons, Harvey and Tommy Davy.Funeral service will be 11am, Saturday, August 23, 2015 at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service in Houston with visitation one hour prior.
