Rochester,
Helen L. Reynolds, 86, of Rochester died Thursday, June 22nd at her home in hospice care. Helen was born February 25, 1931 in Red Wing to Robert W. and Lora D. (Holtz) Franz. She moved with her family to St. Charles to begin the 6th grade. Helen met Otis Reynolds and they married on July 27, 1948 in Iowa. She stayed at home to raise their seven children, before going to work at the St. Charles Bakery. In 1987 Helen and Otis moved to Rochester, where she worked for Econo Foods before retiring on her 70th birthday. Helen was a wonderful cook and mother. She enjoyed camping at Whitewater Park as well as up north.
Survivors include six children, Kathleen Stehr and LeLonnie Reynolds, both of Rochester, John Reynolds of North Olmsted, OH, Jack, Len and Michelle Reynolds of Rochester, 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Otis on September 19, 2003 and a son Kenneth on December 29th 1996, as well as two sisters and six brothers.
Services to celebrate Helen's life will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hoff Funeral Service in St. Charles with the Reverend Heather E. Klason of St. Charles United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Friends may call from noon until time of services at the funeral home on Tuesday.
