RUSHFORD, MINN. - Helen Hoff, 90, of Rushford died Friday, July 7, 2006, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford. Helen was born on May 2, 1916, in Peterson, Minn. to Andrew and Bertha (Tolstad) Tudahl. She was raised in Peterson. Helen was confirmed at Highland Prairie Lutheran Church in rural Peterson, Minn. She married James R. Hoff at Higland Prairie Lutheran Church on May 2, 1935. Helen's interests included baking and making strawberry jam. She was a member of the Rushford Lutheran Church and the local garden club. Helen is survived by one son, James L. (Lori) Hoff of Wabasha, Minn.; one daughter, Lois (Kent) Finanger of Decorah, Iowa; 12 grandchildren: Jim (Karen), Jenny, Joe, Debi (Tim), Brian (Nancy), Steve (Deb), Nacia (Mike), Mark (Lois), Phil (Kim), Judy (Larry), Dan (Lori), and Sarah (Craig); 20 great-grandchildren: one great-grandchild; two sisters-in-law: Olga Rasmussen and Lynda (Hoff) Yoder; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, one granddaughter, Meghan, three brothers, and four sisters. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, at Rushford Lutheran Church with the Rev. Roger Michaelson officiating. Burial will be in the Rushford Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.
