Helen Florence Pierce

Helen F. Pierce, 89, of Lewiston died Wednesday September 27, 2006 at Winona Community Memorial Hospital. She was born January 15, 1917 in St. Charles to Martin and Anna (Burbach) Rinn and was raised in Winona County. Helen and Cullen R. Pierce were married August 27, 1934 in Winona. They lived in Lewiston until moving to Fremont where they farmed for many years. Following retirement they returned to Lewiston. Cullen died January 5, 1990. Helen entered Speltz Estates, Assisted Living of Lewiston in 2004. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Lewiston and the Fremont Circle and Sunshine Club. Survivors include two sons Clifford (Joan) Pierce of Lewiston and Floyd (Sherril) Pierce of St. Charles, 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren and a sister Catherine Wegman of St. Charles. She was preceded in death by one grandson, one granddaughter, five brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be 1 PM Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in Lewiston with the Reverend Tim Gerarden officiating. Burial will follow in Fremont Scotch Cemetery, rural Utica. Friends may call from 5-8 PM Friday at Hoff Funeral Home's - Lewiston Chapel. They may also call one hour before services at the church on Saturday.
