Winona, MN Helen B. Rinn, 103, of Rollingstone, MN, died Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Sauer Memorial Home in Winona, MN. Helen was born on March 18, 1906 to William and Mary (Metz) Mailander in Wiota, IA. In 1929, Helen married Earl Rietz. He passed away in 1938. She then married Edward Rinn on June 18, 1945. She lived in Rollingstone all her married life. Edward passed away in 1995. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Helen enjoyed gardening, crafts, sewing, cooking, baking, traveling, reading and especially her family. She will be dearly missed. Helen is survived by three children; Ron (Dorothy) Rietz of Sioux City, IA, Ann Salberg of Rockton, IL, and Chuck (Marian) Rinn of Buffalo, WY; 21 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; two son-in-laws; Joe Wise of Rollingstone, MN and John (Mary) Finerty of Oak Forest, IL; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Earl, husband Edward, two daughters, Shirley Rietz Wise in 2008 and Margaret Rinn Finerty in 1976, granddaughter Debbie, and 12 brothers and sisters. The Funeral Mass for Helen will be held at 11:00AM, Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Rollingstone with the Reverend Donald Lovas officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 5-7PM Wednesday, April 22 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with a Prayer Service at 7:00PM and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
