Harry Pahl, 89, of rural Utica died Tuesday morning December 30, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born October 28, 1919 in Mazeppa. Harry served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Following the war he returned to the area and worked as a farm hand for many years. In recent years he drove for the Amish. Harry enjoyed woodworking and tinkering on tractors. He has lived at Have a Heart Home for seniors in rural Utica since 2005. Harry was a member of St. Charles American Legion Post in St. Charles. Funeral services will be 11AM Friday at Hoff Funeral Home in St. Charles with Funeral Celebrant John Wagenaar officiating. Burial will follow in Saratoga Cemetery, rural St. Charles. Friends may call from 10 - 11 AM Friday at the funeral home.The St. Charles American Legion Post will conduct military graveside honors at the cemetery.
